New York Partner, <a href="http://www.bakerlaw.com/theodorejkobusiii/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Ted Kobus</a>, co-leader of the&nbsp;Privacy and Data Protection Team, will be a panelist, along with a representative of the Massachusetts Office of Attorney General Consumer Protection Division, at the <a href="https://www.privacyassociation.org/events_and_programs/global_privacy_summit_2013" target="_blank" rel="noopener">International Association of Privacy Professionals Global Privacy Summit</a> in Washington, D.C.,&nbsp;on March 5&nbsp;through 7.

The panel, &ldquo;Surviving Data Breach in the Digital Age,&rdquo; will explore how to prepare for and manage the eventual data breach. Panelists will discuss protection for these cutting-edge assets, appropriate &ldquo;disaster&rdquo; plans and types of cyber insurance that may be needed. They&rsquo;ll also discuss how all of the breach players (legal, forensics, media, notification vendors, call center vendors, insurance claims departments, credit monitoring companies, regulators, etc.) can best work together, and who needs to take the lead and when. They&rsquo;ll conclude with a review of legislative activity and hands-on breach response role-playing activities.
